1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up
This truck spent her whole life in upstate NY on a farm and when she came in she was a complete basket case and needed everything either fixed, repaired, rebuilt or replaced. We are restoring this truck back to stock.We started this restoration taking pictures but about mid way through the restoration we switched over to videos. If you scroll down past the videos you will see the picture gallery and the condition of this truck when we started the restoration.

1949 Chevy 3600 pick-up the final smoothing out of all the body panels has started.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up we are Getting her ready for primer on the interior of the cab and the underside of the cab and one she's primed will put the lizard skin heat shield on the interior and then undercoat the whole underside of the cab.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up the interior of the cab is almost fully primed and ready for the Lizard Skin Ceramic heat insulation and the bottom of the cab is completely primed and ready for the rubberized undercoating to be sprayed on.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up now has its LizardSkin ceramic heat shield sprayed on the interior of the cab and the bottom of the cab has had its rubberized undercoating sprayed on as well.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up. The cab and rear fenders now have their new high build primer on them. We are priming a few pieces at a time because we are priming with other vehicles that are getting primed in the booth. I have to thank the guys next door at Wicked Truck Worx for getting the 49 in and doing such a nice job on her.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up and the front fenders and hood are now ready for the last coat of high build primer.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up and all of the body parts have had their final high build primer sprayed on. They are now ready for their final wet sanding before the final colors are sprayed on.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up now has her first coats of paint in her interior and the orignal Champagne Metallic color looks absolutely beautiful.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up is being prepped for her exterior color by Douglas Carlson. He has cleaned the exterior with soap and water, did a quick scuff to re open the primer to accept the paint, washed the exterior again and is now taping off the interior from the exterior so that the overspray of the paint from the outside will go inside and ruin the paint that he has already sprayed.

1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up now has her Mariner Blue paint on her and she looks beautiful!!! Check out the video.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up and this is the first time the owner is seeing her with her new beautiful Mariner Blue paint on the cab. He was totally speechless and in love with the color. His reaction is why we love to do what we do.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up now has the cab back on the frame, the doors back on the cab and is looking sweet.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up and we are going over some of what we have done on her so far.
1949 Chevy 3600 pick-up have made some good progress but she has been put on hold for for the next several weeks until further notice from the owner. Hate when life gets in the way of enjoyment.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up is coming along great. She is now has her front sheetmetal and the majority of her has been wet sanded and polished. There is still alot more to do but she is out of the mothballs she was in for a couple of months and the build is back on track. Check out the video.

1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up now has a bed on her and the wood bed looks beautiful with the black bed strips and the blue.
1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up we have adjusted the valves, primed the oiling system and static set the timing. We are just about ready to start her up for the first time after we button everything back up and fill the gas tank with a few gallons of gas.

1949 Chevy 3600 Pick-up she is done and ready to go home. The restoration of this little girl came out beautiful. The owner Joe and Halo his riding partner wanted us to bring this truck back to the way she was when she came out of the GM assembly plant in Tarrytown NY and that is what we did.
