1977 Chevy Monte Carlo
1977 Chevy Monte Carlo was just recently purchased by her new owner he drove around for a couple of weeks and found she had a few problems and brought her to us to ask us if we can take care of them for him. The first thing he asked is if we could replace the old 305 CID motor with something that has a little more power and is going to be a bit more reliable and if we can also just go through the whole car and make sure everything is safe. I took the car out for a short drive felt that the steering was a bit loose and there was some noises coming from the brakes every time you apply them. So we put her up on the lift removed off four wheels and went through the whole car we found that all of the suspensions rubber pieces were all dry rotted and needed to be changed as well as the the steering linkage was extremely loose and was going to need to be replaced and we also found the breaks we're going to need replacing. As for the motor we agreed upon a Chevrolet Performance 350 crate motor with 357 horsepower and 403 foot pounds of torque and behind that we're going to put a TCI 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. His last request was if we could pull the front seat out and bring it to an upholstery shop he requested to get the seat cover repaired as well as some of the springs that are broken in the bottom of the seat.
